Chewing Gum Make Smart?


If you see the positive side, chewing gum is useful, for example to eliminate bad breath, stop smoking, and others. However, no doubt also that the rest of this gum is often used as a prank like annoying co-workers, or make a dirty bottom of the chair or table. Believe it or not, chewing gum can also make you smarter.

A study from St.. Lawrence University, conducted by Serge Onyper assistant professor, found that students who chewed gum before the test was able to take a test with better than students who did not chew gum.

Research published in the journal Appetite said that the movement of mastication or chewing gum can stimulate the brain to stay awake, organize awareness and attention, and process information better. But unfortunately this is only the first 20 minutes after chewing gum. This is because the process of division of work being done by cognitive processes or brain to chew on. In other words, you can not chew gum and think at the same time productive.
